CORE VALUES

Jesus Changes Everything.

When we decide to follow Him, Jesus brings transformation. Some of these changes are immediate and others are ongoing (2 Corinthians 4:16,5:17)

People Grow In Community.

We were created to be together and spiritual growth happens in the context of relationship. (Ephesians 4:16)

Everyone Has A Mission.

Each follower of Christ is given the same mission: to make disciples. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8)

WHAT WE BELIEVE

God Exists

He has eternally existed in three personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1,26,27; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; Acts 17:24-28; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

God Creates

God created the Earth and everything in it. (Genesis 1:1-31, Genesis 2:1-25, Hebrews 11:3, Colossians 1:16)

God created man and woman, separate genders assigned by Him and made them equal in dignity, value and worth as image bearers of Him. (Genesis 1:27-27, Genesis 2:7, Isaiah 45:12)

By God’s design, life begins at conception, an unborn baby is an image bearer of our Holy God. (Psalm 51:5-6; 139:13-16; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:15.)

God created marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman, and created sex only for married couples. (Genesis 2:18-25, Galatians 5:16-24)

God Speaks

The Bible in its entirety is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God in its original manuscripts. The original writers were and are unlike any other writers, as they were given special guidance by the Holy Spirit to write down God’s revelation of Himself to humankind. Therefore, we accept the Bible as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 3:16 & Psalm 119:105)

God Rescues

Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God, who died for our sins and rose from the dead. Through Jesus Christ is the only way to have a relationship with God. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8 & John 3:16)

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily, and by Him, Christians are supernaturally empowered to do things they could not do on their own. (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13 & 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 2:12 & 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18)

Mankind – Every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)

Salvation is a gift from God to man. Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. Those accepting Christ repent of sin, confess their faith, and are baptized into Him. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9 & Acts 2:38)

The Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to reflect Christ, grace, and truth. (Ephesians 4:1-16, James 1:26-27)

Disciples – All who follow Christ have been given command bear witness to Him, live as He lived, and help others to do the same. (Matthew 28, 2 Corinthians 5:18)

Eternity – Jesus Christ will one day return to earth and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; John 3:16; 1 John 2:25; 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15)
